Process

Create a thread on CGSculpt.org within the Boss Battle forum to share your progress from design to final sculpture.
It is preferred, but not required, that you write a brief back story (2-10 sentences long) describing the environment in which this Boss resides and a history of how your character has taken root as the ultimate antagonist within its world.
It is preferred, but not required, that you post 2D concepts, references, or rough quick sculpt concepts of the character design prior to creating your finished sculpture.
Share your work in progress as you develop your character. (Artists who do not share their work in progress and only post on the final days of the contest will receive score deductions.)
Create a pedestal for your final character to showcase your work.
Illuminate your character using any lighting or rendering solution you choose. HDR and image based lighting are acceptable.
Render a beauty pass image of your sculpture no larger than 1300x1300 pixels or 400k. This image may contain post effects and editing as long as you do not alter the shape or detail of the model.
Render a set of unedited images of your model from the following views: front, side, three quarters, and back. These should be no more than 1000x1000 pixels each.

Guidelines and Policies

The design must be unique and original, created exclusively for this contest.
You must create the artwork on your own and are required to design and sculpt the character without collaboration.
Your final sculpture and pedestal combined must be under 40 million polygons.
You may use any 3D sculpting software.
The judges' decision is final and by entering you agree not to contest the outcome.
You retain all rights to your Boss Battle artwork and by entering this contest you agree to allow CGSculpt.org to display images of your Boss Battle artwork for promotional puposes.
The sponsors are responsible for awarding prizes to the winners. If a sponsor withdraws from supporting the contest, CGSculpt cannot be held liable to replace the item.
By entering Boss Battle you uphold that all of your submitted artwork, designs, writting, and supporting images are solely your creation and intellectual property.
If you win a 3D print your model may require minor modifications to allow for physical fabrication. To receive the prize of a 3D print your cooperation is necessary.
