Hello,
I try to render a ring in C4D
for some reason i get interesting distortion, where the front is big and the back is small
I want it to look the same as if i would capture it with my video camera with a macro lens...
my lens mm in C4D is set to 90 mm same as my macro lens on my video camera
see this screen shot of my project

Here is a screen shot of a real photograph vs the c4d position, the camera position was the same for both
http://prntscr.com/h7yw8k
Does anyone know how to get this right?
Thank you
Try to make a render, here u get the work window view, the distortion will normaly disapear on render

I would adjust the angle of view a bit. Increase the camera's height and aim it down some more, so both top and bottom arches of the ring match better to the original image. You're also too close to the ring.
If your field of view is set at the same width as your real camera, then that's the only explanation (angles not matching).
Alternatively, you could increase the field of view to 120, it will flatten the perspective and help you reach the look you're after. I would adjust the angle regardless, though.
